Pop Stacking Rings Take II

When we first introduced our Pop Stacking Rings, it turned out to be a popular choice given its versatility, choice of gemstones and of course its price point.

A few months ago, we introduced another variation on the original Pop Stacking Ring, which had a smaller gemstone. One we called the Teeny Pop Stacking Ring, which featured a 2mm or 3mm gemstone with the gemstone options being Cubic Zirconia, Moonstone, Black Onyx and Smokey Topaz.

Over the past few months, we have had several requests and customisations for additional types of gemstones and other sizes of gemstones. It did get a bit confusing on our part, keeping up with the 2mm, 3mm, 6mm (the original) and now a 4mm sized gemstones!

With that in mind, we have condensed everything and now we have 3 options for the Pop Stacking Rings:

  1. Pop Stacking Ring – featuring a 6mm gemstone
  2. Teeny Pop Stacking Ring – featuring a 4mm gemstone
  3. Teeny Tiny Pop Stacking Ring – featuring a 2mm or 3mm gemstone

Curious how they stack up? Have a look!

Rhodolite Garnet

The Garnet family comprises of differently coloured minerals with similar crystal structure and chemical composition. Some of the representatives of the Garnet family are Pyrope, Almandite, Spessartite and Grossularite.

The name Garnet is derived from the Latin word for grain due to its rounded crystals and similarity to the red seed covers of a pomegranate.

Garnets come in a variety of colours including yellow, orange and green. The most widely known colour of Garnet would be dark red. When the term “Garnet” is used, it is usually connotative of the dark red form. Other colour Garnets are usually given more descriptive gemstone terms such as the Tsavorite Garnet.

While we appreciate all types of Garnets, including the fiery looking Spessartite Garnet, we personally have a soft spot for the rose-red Garnet known as Rhodolite Garnet.

Rhodolite Garnets have a lighter tone and more purplish colour than typical Garnet gemstones. It is often regarded as a variety of the mineral Pyrope.

Kyanite

When we first stumbled upon Kyanite, we were in awe of its extraordinary blue colour, which made it very similar to Blue Sapphire.

Until the discovery of Kyanite in Nepal over 20 years ago, Kyanite had traditionally been mined in countries such as Brazil, Cambodia, Myanmar, Switzerland, Russia, Kenya, and certain parts of the United States. However, Kyanite from these sources tend to have grayish tones and little transparency.

Kyanite recently mined from Nepal have however, been of high quality and have produced exceptional blue colour and transparency.

Each Nepalese Kyanite that we have has been specially selected, ensuring we bring to you the same exceptional blue colours that Nepalese Kyanite has become known for.
